It is no secret that we love squash! We think of it as a wonder food here at Rasberrys. You may notice we like to use it in many fall recipes! While you may not dry the “string” then grind it to a powder and make pumpkin spice mix for future use (like we do), there are so many other things to do with the pulp and meat. If you have an abundance, consider freezing in smaller portions for recipes later. These ideas can work for squash, pumpkin or sweet potatoes.

How to buy Olive Oil

There are a lot of fakers out there. Here's how to find the best olive oil for your buck.  

  • Shop where you know there's inventory turnover
  • Buy for use within two months
  • Opt for oil in dark glass bottles or in tins
  • Choose "extra virgin olive oil", it's the purest, least processed and most flavorful type
  • Be wary of bargain-bin oils (less than $10 a liter)
